A significant portion of these were related to electrical distribution and appliances, smoking materials and the highest proportion related to arson. Are you staff prepared? Level 1 Award in Fire Safety (RQF)
The Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness(RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who want to increase their awareness of fire safety in theworkplace. Candidates will learn basic fire safety principles in order to ensure they are keeping themselves and others in the workplace safe at all times.They will also learn what to do in the event of an emergency and the simple measures that can be taken to control the risk of fires.
Our ½ day Fire Safety Awareness can be purchased for a single delegate at one of our open courses or a group booking at your venue.

This qualification forms part of our Fire Safety suite of qualifications. The qualification and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of:
• National Occupational Standards (NOS) related to fire safety
• Recommendation of good practice outlined by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
This qualification is for all employees to increase their basic fire safety awareness. This training helps to fulfil an employer’s legal duty to train all their staff in fire safety.
With subjects covered in just half a day, this course is an ideal way to ensure that all employees have a good understanding of fire safety, whilst minimising disruption to your organisation’s day to day activity.
The objective of the qualification is to benefit Learners through developing their fire safety awareness in the workplace to make sure that they are keeping themselves and others they work with safe at all times.
We have assessment tools to make sure Learners are assessed against the required knowledge, skills and understanding.
There are no practical assessments
Theory assessment/multiple choice question papers – there is 1 paper per unit for each Learner.
Formative assessments – a range of informal assessment procedures employed by the Trainer/Assessor during the learning process to measure each Learner’s knowledge, skills and understanding
